Gothic horror and dark fantasy relies on the threat of fear and on the past encroaching on the present. Setting plays a large part in the gothic history; a reminder of that haunting past. Our panelists discuss the beauty of gothic literature, which elements seem to work well, and how to create the haunting atmosphere so necessary in gothic stories.
